Rosy Cantu Announces Candidacy for Re-Election as Maverick County Commissioner Precinct No. 2

Maverick County Commissioner Rosy Cantu announced her registration as a candidate for re-election on Friday, November 19, 2021, with Maverick County Democratic Party Chairperson Juanita V. Martinez at the Democratic Party’s headquarters located at 1299 Main Street, Suite A, in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Cantu is seeking re-election to a third term of four years as Maverick County Commissioner Precinct No. 2, being first elected in November 2014 and sworn-in on January 1, 2015 and subsequently re-elected to a second term in November 2018 and sworn-in on January 1, 2019.
Cantu was accompanied to her candidate registration by her husband, Martin Cantu, and children. Cantu stated there are many projects currently under construction in Precinct 2 and many others planned and would like to continue serving the citizens of Precinct 2 for another four years.
Cantu is self-employed as an entrepreneur and owns Cantu’s Bail Bonds in Maverick County.
The Texas Primary Election is on March 1, 2021 and the General Election is on November 8, 2021.
