Five Arrested for Burglary in Eagle Pass, Texas
Eagle Pass Police Department Chief of Police Federico Garza reported that five persons, two women and three men, were arrested this past week of January 22-27, 2023 by Eagle Pass Police Detectives for allegedly committing burglary in a downtown Eagle Pass business under construction and committing theft of several television sets in an interview with a local news media source on Friday, January 27, 2023.
Garza stated there are several organized crime groups in the City of Eagle Pass committing burglaries, thefts, discharge of firearms, drugs, and other criminal offenses.
Garza noted that the five individuals arrested for burglary had stolen approximately 26 television sets at a downtown Eagle Pass business that is currently under construction.
Garza stated the five arrested for burglary and organized crime are Victoria Tobias, age 32, Blanca Chavez, age 30, Manuel Galvan, age 29, Servando Santillano, age 33, and Florencio Torres, age 46. Garza added that these individuals are innocent until proven guilty in a court at law. The case has been referred to the 293rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office for presentment to the grand jury to be indicted with formal criminal charges.
Garza vowed to tackle and eradicate all of the organized crime groups operating within the City of Eagle Pass in collaboration with all local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
