THE CITY OF EAGLE PASS TERMINATES CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THEIR BIBB-MISTY WILLOW DRAINAGE PROJECT

Eagle Pass, TX – Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. and the City Council would like to inform the community of the City’s intention to terminate the construction contract for their Bibb-Misty Willow Drainage Project. The City of Eagle Pass through their City Attorney has issued an official notice of termination to the Contractor. The construction contract shall terminate effective at noon on February 3, 2023. The City will officially take over the construction project.
The City of Eagle Pass will remain transparent throughout this process by keeping its citizens fully informed. The City’s commitment is to ensure that this project continues and is completed in a timely fashion. Once the project comes to its full completion, it will improve the City’s drainage system drastically in the near vicinity.
“As Mayor for our great City, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience that this project may have caused to all of our residents for an extended period of time,” said Rolando Salinas, Jr., Mayor for the City of Eagle Pass.
“The City of Eagle Pass must follow and abide by the contract stipulations prior to taking formal action against the Contractor.” “The City of Eagle Pass is fully committed in completing this drainage project that our residents so truly deserve,” said Ivan Morua, Acting City Manager. “The City of Eagle Pass has taken the necessary steps to ensure this project comes to full fruition.”
