Mexican Consul Vivian Juarez Mondragon Commences New Post in Eagle Pass

The Mexican Foreign Ministry announced that Consul Vivian Juarez Mondragon commenced her new post at the Mexican Consulate in Eagle Pass effective Thursday, March 16, 2023 in a formal ceremony held at the Mexican Consulate office located at 2252 E. Garrison Street, Eagle Pass, Texas.
Consul Vivian Juarez Mondragon is the first woman Mexican Consul in Eagle Pass and was previously assigned to the Mexican Consulate in Miami, Florida. Prior to her Consulate service in Miami, Florida, Consul Vivian Juarez Mondragon served in New York, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Switzerland.
Consul Vivian Juarez Mondragon studied International Relations at the Iberoamerican University in Mexico City and received a Masters degree in Diplomatic Studies from the Matias Romero Institute in Mexico City.
The Mexican Foreign Ministry officially announced the new assignment on December 6, 2022 through a press release (No. 484).
Former Eagle Pass Mexican Consul Isamael Naveja Macias was assigned to the San Jose, Costa Rica Mexican Consulate office after serving almost ten years with distinction in Eagle Pass. Consul Ismael Naveja Macias was very active and highly regarded in Eagle Pass and surrounding area, including Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.
In 2019, Consul Ismael Naveja Macias was honored as Mr. Amigo in the traditional Abrazo Ceremony during the International Friendship Festival in Eagle Pass by the Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico International Good Neighbor Councils.
Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. welcomed Mexican Consul Vivian Juarez Mondragon to Eagle Pass and vowed to continue working with her and the Mexican Consulate Office in serving the citizens of Mexico in Eagle Pass and throughout the United States.
