Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Graduation Scheduled Friday, May 26

The Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Mavericks Class of 2023 graduation ceremony is scheduled on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 8 p.m. at the Eagle Pass Independent School District Student Activity Center Cozel Foster-Veterans Memorial Stadium with approximately 500 graduates, announced Eagle Pass Independent School District Superintendent Samuel Mijares.
Spearheading the C. C. Winn High School Class of 2023 graduation ceremony are Valedictorian Esli Gonzalez with a GPA of 108.837 and Salutatorian Mariana Jimenez with a GPA of 108.696. Both Gonzalez and Jimenez will present their Valedictorian and Salutatorian speeches at graduation.
The Eagle Pass Independent School District Student Activity Center gates will open at 6 p.m. and the Winn graduation ceremony will commence promptly at 8 p.m. The graduates and their parents and family members are encouraged to car pool to minimize the traffic entering and exiting the Student Activity Center.
The Eagle Pass Independent School District recommends people driving to the graduation ceremony use both entrances to the Student Activity Center, including the main entrance on U. S. Highway 277 South and the auxiliary entrance on Loop 480, to evenly divide the flow of traffic coming in and out of the Student Activity Center.
Family members and guests are advised that only clear bags will be allowed inside the stadium. If you bring a bag that is not clear, you will be turned away and asked to leave your belongings in your vehicle before entering the stadium. In addition, no ice chests are allowed on the premises.
Graduates participating in the graduation ceremony must comply with the school dress code policy. Any student not in compliance will not be allowed to participate. Graduates shall not have any markings, messages, or labels on their cap or gown. High heels are not allowed on the artificial turf field. Women are encouraged to wear flat-footed shoes.
In the event of inclement weather such as rain or thunderstorms on graduation day before the ceremony, Winn High School’s graduation ceremony would be moved to Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 10 a.m. while Eagle Pass High School’s ceremony would be rescheduled to Sunday, May 28th. In the event of inclement weather or rain on the reassigned date, the ceremony will be canceled and graduates can pick up their diploma on the next business day at your school campus.
