CBP and Port of Eagle Pass to Hold F. A. S. T. Outreach Event for Commercial Truck Drivers

EAGLE PASS — U.S. Customs and Border Protection in collaboration with the Port of Eagle Pass will hold a two-day FAST Outreach Event in Eagle Pass on October 1 and 2, 2026 providing conditionally approved commercial drivers an opportunity to complete their required interviews locally.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ICT International Center for Trade, located at 3295 Bob Rogers Drive in Eagle Pass.
CBP will conduct off-site interview processing for conditionally approved FAST applicants, giving eligible commercial drivers an opportunity to complete an important part of the enrollment process without having to travel elsewhere for their interview.
FAST, which stands for Free and Secure Trade, is a CBP program designed to expedite the processing of qualifying commercial traffic while maintaining security requirements at U.S. ports of entry.
The program is particularly important along the U.S.-Mexico border and in communities such as Eagle Pass, where international trucking and cross-border commerce are major components of daily operations at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry.
FAST provides expedited processing for eligible commercial shipments involving approved participants. Qualifying drivers can use designated FAST processing lanes where available, helping facilitate the movement of legitimate trade across the border.
The program operates in conjunction with CBP’s broader supply-chain security efforts, including the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, commonly known as CTPAT.
For Eagle Pass, increasing participation in FAST can benefit the transportation and trade community by providing qualifying commercial drivers and companies another tool to move cargo more efficiently through the international port of entry while complying with federal security requirements.
Applicants attending the October outreach event are asked to bring their visa, birth certificate or valid passport book, driver’s license and an employment letter.
Wi-Fi will be available for participants who want to use their own devices. The Port of Eagle Pass team will also have laptops available for applicants who need assistance during the process.
The outreach event comes as Eagle Pass continues to position itself as an important commercial gateway between the United States and Mexico, with international trade and commercial truck traffic playing an increasingly significant role in the region’s economy.
The FAST Outreach Event will be held October 1 and 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ICT International Center for Trade at 3295 Bob Rogers Drive in Eagle Pass.
