Eagle Pass Non-Profit Organization to Hold Soup Kitchen on September 19 at Vida Nueva Church

The Jorge Maldonado Foundation, a non-profit organization, is preparing to open its doors again to the community as it hosts its monthly soup kitchen on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 12 Noon, Vida Nueva Church in Eagle Pass, Texas.

The community meal will begin at noon at the church, located at 1245 Eidson Road, Eagle Pass, Texas 78852 with local families and residents invited to attend and enjoy a free meal together.

Foundation founder, Isela Segura Maldonado, invites the community to participate and help spread the word about the event.

“We’re getting ready for our monthly Jorge Maldonado Soup Kitchen,” Segura Maldonado stated. “We’d love to see you and your family there. Come enjoy a meal with us.”

The monthly soup kitchen carries forward the example of Jorge Maldonado through service, compassion and generosity toward others.

Organizers said the effort is about more than providing a meal. It is also an opportunity to bring people together and serve neighbors with open hearts and helping hands.

The foundation encouraged residents to share information about the soup kitchen so families who may benefit from the community meal are aware that they are welcome to attend.

The Jorge Maldonado Soup Kitchen will take place Saturday, September 19, beginning at noon at Vida Nueva Church, 1245 Eidson Road.

“Together we can make a difference in our community,” the foundation stated in announcing the event.
