Maverick County Releases Early Voting Schedule, Sample Ballot and Election Day Polling Locations

Maverick County voters are getting their first detailed look at the November 3, 2026 General Election, with the Elections Department releasing the early voting schedule, Election Day polling locations and a sample ballot showing races from the federal level down to local school and hospital district contests.

The deadline to register to vote in the November 3 General Election is Tuesday, October 5, 2026 with the Maverick County Elections Administration Office located at 501 E. Main Street, Suite B, Eagle Pass, Texas 78852 or online through Vote.gov.

If you are already registered to vote, you should check your voter registration status is correct before October 5 as the State of Texas has placed 1,200,000 persons registration in “suspense” for various reasons. It is best to check and confirm your voter registration is correct and has not been placed on the “suspense” list.

Early voting begins Monday, October 19, and continues through Friday, October 30, 2026 at the Multi-Purpose Center, 480 S. Adams Street in Eagle Pass.

Voting will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 19 through October 23. Extended weekend voting will be offered Saturday, October 24, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During the final week of early voting, October 26 through October 30, the Multi-Purpose Center will remain open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, with voting from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at designated polling locations throughout Maverick County.

The ballot includes federal and statewide races, including U.S. Senate, Congressional District 23, governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and several statewide judicial positions.

Several closely watched local races also appear on the ballot.

The Maverick County Judge race lists Republican Ruben J. Camarillo, Democrat Gerardo “Jerry” Morales and Independent David R. Saucedo. Camarillo has quit his bid for County Judge, but didn’t do so in time to remove his name from the ballot. Morales and Saucedo are the two legitimate candidates for County Judge.

For the County Court at Law unexpired term, voters will choose between Republican Ricardo Ramos and Democrat Cecilia A. Mascorro.

The ballot lists Democrat Leopoldo “Polo” Vielma for District Clerk, Democrat Sara Montemayor for County Clerk and Democrat Rito J. Valdez for County Treasurer.

For County Commissioner Precinct 1, unexpired term, Democrat Mario Cruz is listed on the ballot.

The Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 race includes Republican Anna Gabriela Derbez and Democrat Kina Mancha.

The ballot also includes Eagle Pass Independent School District trustee elections.

Victor E. Perry is listed for Position 3. Position 4 includes Hilda P. Martinez and Mario Castillon, while Claudio Heredia is listed for Position 5.

Maverick County Hospital District voters will be asked to select two candidates for the Board of Directors. The ballot lists Erika Diaz, Stephany Valdez, Guillermo Hernandez, Eliezer Hernandez Yeled Shalom P Clinic, Jesus Casas and Judy Canales.

The Elections Department lists the following Election Day polling locations by precinct,

Precinct 1C — Memorial Junior High Gym, 1800 Lewis St.
Precinct 1D — Salón Perpetuo Socorro, 585 Alamo St.
Precinct 2A — San Luis Elementary Cafeteria, 2090 A. Williams St.
Precinct 2B — Ray H. Darr Elementary Gym, 1945 Eidson Rd.
Precinct 2C — Rosita Valley Elementary Gym, 735 Rosita Valley
Precinct 2D — El Indio Community Center, 115 West Texas St.
Precinct 2E — International Center for Trade, 3295 Bob Rogers Dr.
Precinct 3A — Glass Elementary Gym, 1501 Boehmer Ave.
Precinct 3B — Seco Mines Elementary Gym, 2900 Diaz St.
Precinct 3C — Quemado Community Center, 20160 US Hwy 277
Precinct 4A — Maverick County Courthouse, 500 Quarry St.
Precinct 4B — Eagle Pass High School Girls Gym, 2020 Second St.
Precinct 4C — St. Joseph Parish Hall, 800 Comal St.
Precinct 4D — Old E.P.I.S.D. Central Office Board Room, 1420 Eidson Rd.

With races extending from federal and statewide offices to county government, EPISD and the Maverick County Hospital District, voters will have numerous decisions to make when they cast their ballots.
