Sacred Heart Catholic Church Holds 9/11 First Responders Mass and Blessing of Vehicles

Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Pass , Texas held a 9/11 First Responders Blessing Mass to honor the men and women who serve and protect the community, as well as their vehicles.

Representatives from local, state and federal law enforcement agencies participated in the Mass alongside members of the Eagle Pass Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services.

The service provided a meaningful opportunity for the community to gather in prayer while recognizing police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, sheriff’s deputies, Border Patrol agents, state troopers and other first responders.

Those attending expressed their gratitude for the courage and sacrifice demonstrated by first responders who answer emergency calls and frequently place their own lives at risk to protect others.

Special prayers were offered asking God to continue blessing, guiding and protecting first responders and their families as they serve Eagle Pass and surrounding communities.

The Mass also honored the memory of those who lost their lives during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, including the firefighters, police officers, emergency personnel and other brave individuals who responded that day.

The gathering brought together faith, gratitude, community and service while reinforcing the nation’s enduring promise to never forget the lives lost and the sacrifices made on September 11.
