Dr. & Mrs. Carlos De La Pena Celebrate 30th Anniversary of Family Dental Care in Eagle Pass

Dr. Carlos De La Pena and his lovely wife, Veronica, and family celebrated with the community their 30th Anniversary of their dental practice named Family Dental Care on Friday, October 2, 2026, located at 2230 N. Veterans Blvd. Suite B, Eagle Pass, Texas amid a large gathering of family, patients, friends, and local dignitaries.
Dr. De La Pena welcomed all of the attendees to the 30th Anniversary Celebration of Family Dental Care in Eagle Pass and thanked the Lord for all of the blessings the past 30 years, his family for their unwavering love and support, his staff for their dedication, his loyal patients, cherished friends, and the community of Eagle Pass for its overwhelming support of his dental practice.
Dr. De La Pena also proudly introduced his new dental associate at Family Dental Practice, Dr. Fernanda Gonzalez Elizalde, a native Eagle Passan who graduated from Eagle Pass High School in 2017, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas.
Dr. Elizalde thanked her parents, husband, Kevin, and everyone who inspired her to pursue her education and accomplish her dream to become a professional dentist in her own community, Eagle Pass. Most importantly, Dr. Elizalde praised and thanked Dr. & Mrs. Carlos De La Pena for their compassion and commitment to providing quality dental care in the community and opening their hearts to her by becoming mentors during her university and dental school years.
Dr. Elizalde stated her goal is to provide each patient achieve a healthy, confident smile and make their dental experience a positive and comfortable one. Dr. Elizalde added that she hopes her successful completion of her professional studies will motivate other young women, particularly Hispanic, to pursue their dreams and work towards achieving them.
Eagle Pass Mayor Aaron Valdez congratulated Dr. & Mrs. Carlos De La Pena and their staff for providing professional dentistry in the community for the past 30 years and wished them another 30 years. Mayor Valdez stated the community is very fortunate to have Dr. & Mrs. Carlos De La Pena and for deciding to open their Family Dental Care in Eagle Pass instead of another community. Mayor Valdez also congratulated Dr. & Mrs. De La Pena for having the foresight and courage to expand their Family Dental Care practice to Carrizo Springs, Texas, only 45 miles from Eagle Pass. He noted small and professional businesses such as Family Dental Care are important in providing employment, services, and generating economic development in the community.
The 30th Anniversary Celebration was coordinated with the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce. Mike Garcia served as the master of ceremonies at the 30th Anniversary Celebration as he did in the opening ceremony 30 years ago.
State Representative Eddie Morales, Jr. presented Dr. & Mrs. Carlos De La Pena with a Texas Legislative Proclamation congratulating them for their 30th Anniversary.
Following the ceremony, guests were provided with food and refreshments.
