Eagle Pass High School Eagles football program recently received a $5,000 check for its participation in T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights campaign, marking the second consecutive year the school has earned recognition through the initiative.
T-Mobile representatives presented the check to Head Coach Roger Olivas before kickoff at this past Friday night’s game.
Joining Olivas for the presentation were Eagle Pass High School Assistant Principal Isaac Gracia and Freshmen Coach Jerry Garcia, who played an instrumental role in organizing the Eagles’ campaign.
The recognition reflects the participation of students, families and fans who joined the effort to showcase Eagle Pass football and the community support surrounding Friday nights.
The latest award follows a $5,000 prize in 2025, when Eagle Pass High School supporters used Instagram and X to share the excitement, traditions and school spirit associated with Eagles football.
T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights campaign gives high school communities an opportunity to highlight what makes their football traditions special. For Eagle Pass, the campaign provided another way for supporters to rally behind the Eagles and bring attention to the students, coaches and families who help shape the Friday night experience.
Garcia’s work organizing the local effort helped bring Eagle Nation together for another successful year of participation.
The Eagles football program thanked the community for taking part in the campaign and helping secure the recognition.
With awards in consecutive years, Eagle Nation has given its team another reason to celebrate the support that extends from the stands into the community.
