A total of only 2,836 registered Maverick County voters have cast a ballot in the extremely important November 3, 2026 General Election through the first four days of Early Voting, October 19-22, out of a total of over 38,000 registered voters, according to Mariana Flores Garcia, Maverick County Elections Administrator.
During the first four days, an average of 709 voters daily have cast their ballots. A dismal estimated 13.39% of Maverick County voters have exercised their constitutional right to vote thus far. We can and must do better than this.
With both the national and state economies experiencing record level inflation rates and affordability issues, the November 3 General Election presents high stakes for citizens that will impact their lives, children, grandchildren, and families for generations to come.
Texans are struggling to afford the high prices of food, gasoline, diesel, electricity, automobiles, housing, health insurance, and inflation rates gripping both the State and the country. Many Texans seek a change of political leadership and public policies affecting these salient issues impacting their pocketbooks and quality of life.
The future of Texans, including Maverick Countians, is the November 3 General Election and the urgent need for citizens to participate and become engaged in the democratic electoral process. Election results have consequences. Elections have winners and losers. The winners reap the spoils of victory while the losers and those who did not vote reap what they sow. If one does not exercise its constitutional right to vote in the November 3 General Election, then hold your peace and don’t complain—suffer the consequences.
