Texas Democratic gubernatorial nominee Gina Hinojosa is scheduled to visit Eagle Pass today, Sunday, October 11, 2026 for a rally at the International Center for Trade at 1 P.M.-5 P.M. as she seeks to unseat Republican Gov. Greg Abbott in the November 3 election.y
The visit brings the governor’s race directly to local voters just days before early voting begins.
Hinojosa is campaigning on lowering everyday costs, strengthening public schools and addressing concerns about the growth of data centers across Texas, issues listed among the topics for her Eagle Pass rally.
A state representative from Austin, Hinojosa is challenging an incumbent seeking a fourth term. Recent polling suggests Abbott faces a closer contest than in his previous campaigns for governor.
A recent New York Times/Siena poll showed Hinojosa receiving 49 percent support among likely voters compared with Abbott’s 46 percent.
The three-point difference fell within the poll’s 4.5-point margin of error, leaving neither candidate with a clear lead in that survey.
Abbott continues to hold a financial advantage. His campaign raised more than $20 million from July 1 through September 24 and spent nearly $70 million during that period. Hinojosa raised $13.3 million and spent $12.1 million as she worked to introduce herself to voters statewide.
For Eagle Pass residents, today’s scheduled rally offers an opportunity to hear Hinojosa’s proposals firsthand before deciding who should lead the state for the next four years.
Early voting begins October 19 and continues through October 30. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
