The Maverick County Junior Livestock Show’s Helping Hands Project encourages parents to register students with diverse needs for an opportunity to learn how to care for and show animals.
The program is open to students in grades three through 12, with a registration deadline of November 6, 2026.
With assistance from FFA and 4-H club members, participating students will learn how to feed, walk and show an animal. The project provides an opportunity for students to take part in livestock activities with support from fellow young people involved in agricultural programs.
The Helping Hands Project is organized by the Maverick County Junior Livestock Show, Angels From Heaven and the Eagle Pass Independent School District.
Organizers encourage parents to register their children and learn more about the opportunity.
For registration information, parents may contact Norma Hernandez at (830) 968-1427 or Armandina Mata at (830) 776-2317.
