With only one day remaining in the early voting period for the November 3 General Election, Maverick County has recorded a total of 8,208 in-person ballots after 11 consecutive days of early voting, representing approximately 22.06 percent of the county’s 37,204 registered voters.
According to the latest unofficial figures, 663 residents cast their ballots Thursday, October 29, reflecting a decrease of approximately 21.91 percent compared to the 849 votes recorded Wednesday.
Voter participation has fluctuated throughout the eleven days of early voting, with daily totals ranging from 486 to 1,103 ballots.
During the first week, 812 votes were recorded Monday, October 19, followed by 790 Tuesday, 619 Wednesday, 615 Thursday, 857 Friday, 1,103 Saturday, and 486 Sunday.
The second week began with 744 votes Monday, October 26, followed by 670 Tuesday, 849 Wednesday, and 663 Thursday, bringing the cumulative total to 8,208 ballots.
Saturday, October 24, registered the highest single-day turnout with 1,103 votes, while Sunday, October 25, recorded the lowest participation with 486 ballots.
Based on the county’s registered voter population, approximately 28,996 residents, representing 77.94 percent of registered voters, have not participated in in-person early voting.
The figures indicate that while thousands of residents have already exercised their right to vote, a substantial majority of the county’s registered electorate has yet to participate.
Friday, October 30, marks the final opportunity for residents to cast an early ballot before Election Day. Voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Eagle Pass Multi-Purpose Center.
Election Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2026, when voters who have not already participated will have another opportunity to cast their ballots.
The final day of early voting will determine whether Maverick County can further increase its participation percentage before Tuesday’s election.
All figures remain unofficial and reflect in-person early voting only. Mail-in ballots are not included.
