Maverick County Sheriff’s Department Chief of Deputies Roberto De Leon announced that Commander Jose Ramos and Investigator David Garcia recently attended the Texas Association of Vehicle Theft Investigators (TAVTI) Conference in Norman, Oklahoma.
The two participated in specialized training to develop and refine their vehicle theft investigation skills. The training helps investigators stay current with emerging trends, technology, investigative techniques and industry practices as they work to combat vehicle theft.
The conference also gave them an opportunity to meet and network with investigators and law enforcement professionals from across Texas. Those connections support the exchange of information and help build partnerships for investigating cases that cross county and jurisdictional lines
“Training makes us better. Networking makes us stronger. Partnerships help us solve cases.”
The Maverick County Sheriff’s Office Auto Crimes Unit remains committed to continued learning and improvement, and to bringing that knowledge back to better serve Maverick County residents.
