Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11 to honor all who served in the United States military. The observance originated as Armistice Day, marking the end of fighting in World War I on November 11, 1918, and later expanded to recognize veterans of all wars.
Through the proclamation, county officials encouraged residents to remember the contributions of local veterans throughout November and recognize the sacrifices made by their families.
